Transparency & Monetization Disclosure

Full disclosure of how AI Mower News is funded and how we maintain editorial independence.

Our Core Commitment

AI Mower News is editorially independent. We do not sell the products we review.

Unlike many robotic mower review sites, AI Mower News does not receive commissions from product sales. Our reviews and brand ratings are based solely on our Six-Pillar Accountability Standard — a documented, formula-driven methodology that no manufacturer can influence or purchase.

This page explains every way we generate revenue, so you can evaluate our potential conflicts and judge our work accordingly. We believe radical transparency is a prerequisite for trust.

Revenue Streams

1. Display Advertising

AI Mower News runs programmatic display advertisements served by third-party ad networks. These ads appear across the site and are selected by the ad network’s algorithm, not by our editorial team. We do not accept direct advertising placements that require editorial coverage in exchange, and displaying an ad alongside an article does not constitute an endorsement of the advertiser.

2. Dealer Directory Subscriptions

Our dealer directory connects consumers with local robotic mower dealers and service providers. The directory operates on a tiered model:

  • Free Tier: Available to all dealers. Includes a basic listing with contact information, service area, and brand affiliations.
  • Premium Tier: Paid subscription that provides enhanced visibility, featured placement, verified badges, and expanded profile content.

Dealer subscriptions are a directory service — they provide visibility to consumers looking for local support. They do not influence editorial coverage, brand ratings, or product reviews in any way. A dealer’s subscription status is never considered when evaluating the brands they carry.

What We Don’t Do

For complete clarity, here is what AI Mower News does not do:

  • ❌ We do not earn affiliate commissions from product sales (Amazon, manufacturer referrals, etc.)
  • ❌ We do not accept payment in exchange for favorable reviews or higher brand ratings
  • ❌ We do not allow advertisers to preview, approve, or influence editorial content before publication
  • ❌ We do not operate an e-commerce storefront or resell any products
  • ❌ We do not accept free products contingent on positive coverage

How We Compare to Affiliate Review Sites

Many popular robotic mower “review” sites earn 4–10% commission on every product sold through their links. This creates an inherent conflict of interest: the more products they recommend, the more money they make — regardless of product quality.

AI Mower News operates on a journalism model, not an affiliate model. Our revenue comes from advertising and services that are structurally separated from editorial decision-making. When we rate a brand, compare mowers, or publish a critical analysis, there is zero financial incentive tied to whether you buy the product.

Questions About Our Funding
