Accessibility Statement

Last updated

AI Mower News is published by Wolf Pak Strategies. We want everyone to be able to read this site, including people who use screen readers, keyboards only, voice control, magnifiers or high zoom.

Our goal

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. This is a goal and an ongoing effort. It is not a legal certification, and we do not claim that every page is perfect.

What we tested, and when

On October 24, 2026 we checked every type of page on the site: home, articles, news lists, category and tag pages, mower pages, the mower database, the comparison table and quiz, brands, brand pages, the dealer directory and dealer pages, search, the support Q&A, manual finder, video library, guides, the About, Contact, Privacy, Terms, Cookie and this page, and the "page not found" page. Each was tested at desktop width (1280 pixels) and phone width (390 pixels).

  • Automated checks with axe-core, the open-source accessibility engine, and Google Lighthouse.
  • Our own scripts for picture descriptions, heading order, table headings, link names and control sizes.
  • Keyboard checks: every link, button, menu, filter, table and form can be reached and used with the Tab, Enter, Space and Escape keys, and the place you are on the page is shown by a clear outline.
  • Zoom checks: the pages still work at 200% text size and in a narrow 320-pixel window without sideways scrolling (data tables scroll inside their own frame).

What we have built in

  • A "Skip to main content" link at the top of every page.
  • Clear landmarks (header, navigation, main content, footer), one main heading per page, and headings that do not skip levels.
  • Text descriptions for pictures that carry meaning. Purely decorative pictures are hidden from screen readers.
  • Text and button colors with enough contrast, and controls big enough to tap.
  • Tables with headings and captions. The comparison table can be sorted with the keyboard.
  • The site respects the "reduce motion" setting of your device.
  • Links that open a new tab, and links to documents such as PDF files, say so.

Known limits

  • The dealer map. The map on the dealer directory is a visual extra and is difficult to use with a keyboard or screen reader. The dealer list next to it is the accessible equivalent: it holds every dealer, has the same search boxes and filters, and links to a page with the full address and phone number. Each dealer page also shows the address in plain text.
  • Other people's content. Map tiles from OpenStreetMap, YouTube videos and linked manufacturer pages and PDF manuals belong to other companies. We cannot fix them, but we label them. YouTube videos only load when you press play.
  • Older articles. Many older articles were moved from our previous website. Some pictures inside them have a general description ("Image for the article: ...") instead of a detailed one. We improve these as we find them.
  • Search. The site search uses a standard search tool. We checked it with a keyboard, but screen reader behavior can differ between browsers.

Tell us about a problem

If something on this site is hard for you to use, please email [email protected] with the page address and a short description of the problem. You can also tell us what device and assistive technology you use, if you wish.

  • We will answer within 2 business days.
  • We can give you the content in another way, for example as plain text, a different file format, or by reading the specs to you, so you do not have to wait for a fix.
  • We will fix real problems as soon as we can and tell you when we have.
